- make a bucketlist
- also make a list of things you've accomplished/things you've done off your bucketlist
- make a wishlist
- write a few short term goals. some things that don't necessarily fit onto your bucketlist
- if you have any health reminders/or like exercises or tips from a therapist or doctor/etc, write them on sticky notes or print them out and stick them on your bedroom/living room wall
- decorate your room with anything you might be interested in/enjoy, if you can. it'll probably feel a lot cosier and that comfort honestly helps a lot
- keep a diary!! online/on computer on paper (though if it's online, keep it password locked, same with if it's on microsoft word if you're not comfortable with it being public) i mean diary in the loosest sense. write literally anything on it whenever you feel like it. nothing is irrelevant. even something as small as "im so angry that i spilled my coffee this morning," write it, post it, whatever. it does MIRACLES lifting things off your back
- make music playlists for yourself
- clear a small space at home to keep your most prized possessions (eg CDs, books, whatever), it'll make you feel a bit better looking at them
- write yourself a list of things to do/refer to on a bad day
- please use iCal or some sort of calendar to organize everything it will completely declutter your mind. put events, personal goals, deadlines, everything you need to remember on it. i literally will put something like "listen to new album you bought" on it to give myself something to look forward to the next day, etc
- save a few links of helpful websites (whether it be websites with self care tips/live animal cam websites/etc)
- keep a list of helpful helplines/numbers, websites, emails, on a sticky note in your room or handy on a card somewhere
just a list of tips i've found, through experience, helps with things.
