fog
I look inside and I see fog,
A stretching valley of nothingness-
Or somethingness, but I'm blinded
By the smoke, hanging like storm
Clouds, over the valley of shadows
An unseen rain, pouring down the
Sides of the teetering cliffs
Each tentative step, where
You think you find solid ground
Here comes crumbling dust
You fall, into the unknowingness-
Because you must.
It's been a long walk, you sink
Into the cracks, you think
You will never see past the
Clouded musted rusted fog
You look inside and you know
Something, but you see nothing
But the rising wall of fog
You ask yourself, will you ever know?
Will you ever see?
