The stars glowing bright in the indigo sky
Flashing past me as wind cuts like blades across flesh
I lift my battered wings but I'm unable to fly
I look everywhere but there is no escape from this mess
With an inferno I am ripped apart
Light spilling like gushing blood
My shaking hands clutching my thundering heart
I ablaze the sky like the setting sun
Feels like being carved alive by glowing knives
Massacred into pieces by slashing claws
I scream into the sky but there's nowhere to hide
Hands grasp at bitter air but nothing slows the fall
I am drowning in tears and light
I am setting the midnight sky in flames
My grace is burning me alive
The pain which is driving me insane
With a thundering crash that shakes the land
I sink into the ocean where I fall
Heaven now seems like a lost and distant land
My power and life I've lost it all
The last I remember is the cooling water
Lapping at my wounds, seeping overhead
Pulling me peacefully under
Welcoming eternal rest
